You can talk from morning till night to a man who has been born blind, and you will never beable to explain to him the colors of the spectrum as seen in the rainbow. He lacks one of hissenses, and there is, unfortunately, nothing that can be done about it. So it is to the nonchristian who attempts to understand the things that are so surely known and believed by thosewho have come to Christ. (1 Cor 2:14; 2 Cor 4:3,4: 1 John 5:20; 1 Cor 12:3). The difficultydisappears immediately when we realize that the image of God in which man was made hasnothing to do with his bodily form, but rather in his moral and intellectual likeness, and especiallyin the fact that man is, in himself a trinity, in body, soul and spirit.
